Breaking Barriers: The Houston Latina Collaborative Story. In Houston’s vast workforce, Latinas often face unique challenges—from language barriers to underrepresentation in media and entrepreneurship. That’s where the Houston Latina Collaborative (HLC) steps in. What started as a simple Twitter account in 2014 has blossomed into a thriving community of over 800 members on Facebook and 17,000 Instagram followers—supporting Latina entrepreneurs, media professionals, creatives, and influencers. In this video, we sit down with Connie Leon, Carolina "Caro" Rodriguez, and Desiree Klaus to discuss the mission behind HLC, the power of collaboration, and how they continue to fill gaps in access, support, and resources for Latinas in Houston.
